Arklain operates as a world that is mixed in its technological and magical advances, it is also dimensionally unstable and will warp or shift as a result to another time, space, dimension or a combination of the three.

Technology

• Skyrail: A railway in the sky going from city to city. The route of connection is dependent on the weather. Most of the time it will access any of the cities around the Temple District. (See Maps). The railway is a flying carriage (Train-like) linked to a cable to keep it stable. It is marked with ancient runes and a motor churning fuel of Dragon fat combined with a magical Seal on the end of the carriage which regulates its release keeps this vehicle aloft.
  
• Com-Links: Com-Links is equivalent to Earth's Radios and PCs. A Com-Link1 is similar to a transistor radio or mobile phone, a Com-Link2 is a Palm V, a Com-Link3 a personal computer and a Com-Link4 is a public telephone (Also a street directory). Upper Com-Links (5+) are only available to Immortals.
  
• Com-Link1: Com-Link1 is a standard mobile phone. Some Cyborgs have the Tech to have them embedded in their skull, thus able to make 'calls' without using their hands. A simple thought is all that is needed to activate the link.
  
• Com-Link2: A Palm V Com stores information you see on quests, such as Fiend Appearance and Combat details, maps, routes you've taken etc. It also allows you to check your Global Position (Works only if you're not in the Wastelands)
  
• Com-Link3: Your personal PC is a flat, glass desk, it is voice activated and can be password, iris and voice protected. The display is holographic, it can be used to make phone calls or access the LinkNet, a place rather like the Internet, you can share information but your access to information is limited by your rank in society.
  
• Screens: Liquid Crystal screens are the most basic and are most often used on Com-Link4s to make talking easier. Most screens these days however are 2D and holographic with 'buttons' that can be 'touched' in midair.
  
• Panes: Panes are like the modern TV but its size varies from your palm to the entire wall of a building. They are thin and usually appears and functions like a mirror.
  
• Vending Machines: They sell soda pops and smokes as well as an assortment of ices.
  
• Libraries: Store tomes and books as well as information on Com-Links
  
• Cars: Automobiles don't exist, carriages drawn by dinosaur like creatures are aided by motors to help them turn.

Biotechnology

• Cyborgs: People can now be modified into Cyborgs. Only humans, Imae and Ti can be modified (Special cases are allowed, please ask a DM for details). Cyborgs are part man part machine or other synthetic material. They usually receive enhancements which give them Extraordinary Abilities.
  
• Genetics: Arklain's technology is so advanced that gene splicing and the like is made very simple. It is however, still very expensive, and it's usually done with a coupling of magic to make the process easier and less hazardous for the subject.
